It had originally been my intention to shoot the trees at the south eastern end of Buttermere, but when I arrived I was greeted by a sea canvas; there appeared to be some sort of festival going on on the very beach I had intended to shoot from.
I quickly changed my plans and decided to head for Crummock Water instead and I’m glad I did because boy was I in for a treat!
The yellow irises were in full in full bloom and as I set up my camera a layer of mist began to settle on the lake. I was a truly magical morning.
