I paid a quick visit to the stone circle at Castlerigg in the hope of a good sunrise to light up the furrows that lie in front of it. When that didn’t happen I took to exploring a few different compositions and experimenting with compressed perspective.
My favourite view of the stone circle; if you are lucky enough to get a good sunrise during spring and autumn it lights up the furrows in the foreground – alas no such luck today.
A good example of compressed perspective: shooting at 70mm allows you to pull Low Rigg closer to the camera creating a more intimate composition.
