Lake District Landscape Photography

by Chris Sale

I am a landscape photographer based in Cumbria in the north west of England.

I live on the edge of the Lake District National Park, just a stone’s throw away from some of the finest scenery in Great Britain.

The Lake District

The Lake District is England’s largest national park and UNESCO world heritage site.

Famed for its outstanding natural beauty it is a popular destination for landscape photographers from all over the world.

I have lived on the boundary of the Lake District National Park since 2012. I now dedicate as much time as possible time to capturing the beauty of Lake District.

If you are a photographer and visiting the Lake District my location guide contains the details of my favourite places to shoot.

Landscape Photography Workshops

I run landscape photography workshops both here in the Lake District and in Cornwall.

They are a great opportunity to learn new skills and to share your passion with other likeminded people.

I currently have places available on workshops planned for March, April and May 2020.

Photography Tuition

As an experienced landscape photographer I available for one-to-one photography tuition.

I specialise in helping people who are new to photography to develop the basic skills needed to start photographing the landscape with confidence.

I am also available for hire as a location guide to help you get the most out of your time in the Lake District.

YouTube

Since 2017 I have been sharing my adventures photographing the Lake District via my YouTube channel.

I release a new video at 18:00 every Tuesday and Friday.

If you would like to learn more about me and my approach to photography check out my YouTube channel.

The Hand of Man Project

In 2017 the Lake District was awarded world heritage status by UNESCO who noted that…

…the combined work of nature and human activity has produced a harmonious landscape.

My Hand of Man project aims to celebrate the impact that man has had on the Lake District landscape.
